WHO WE ARE
From Nephew to Owner
Morgantown Blueprint and Copy Center has strong roots in West Virginia having been created as an extended location of Charleston Blueprint in 2008 to better serve the entire state. In 2021, the owners of Charleston Blueprint (established in 1986) retired and sold the entire business to their employees. It was then that Charleston Blueprint and Morgantown Blueprint and Copy Center became separate companies. Derek and Katie Parsley purchased the company in 2022.
Derek began his printing career in 2002 working summers in high school at Charleston Blueprint. Being the nephew of two of the owners, it was a good excuse to spend time with family as well as get valuable work experience since he lived in Arizona the rest of the year. Upon deciding to move back to his birthplace in 2009, Derek became a full-time employee of Charleston Blueprint working in the reprographics department, as well as lending a hand in other departments when needed. In 2013, he was promoted and moved to Morgantown to be the manager of Morgantown Blueprint and Copy Center.

Katie, originally hailing from Maryland, found her passion for the printing industry in high school. She attended vocational school for Graphic Communications and Printing Technology, which earned her over a semester of college credit if she attended WVU Tech in Montgomery, West Virginia. In 2011, after graduating from WVU Tech and working summer internships in the printing industry, she started working at Charleston Blueprint. It was there that she met Derek and the romantic spark was lit. In 2014, after a brief stint in Maryland, Katie moved to Morgantown and joined Derek at Morgantown Blueprint and Copy Center.

Derek Parsley
Owner
Derek handles the behind-the-scenes of daily operations. Did you know he also aspires to acquire his pilot's license?
Katie Parsley
Owner
Katie is the glue that holds us all together. She enjoys all things murder mystery (but don't worry--you're totally safe here!)
Bri Gilmore
Graphic Designer
Bri serves as our in-house graphic designer. She also enjoys art and writing!
Daniel Koval
Production Team Member
Becca serves as our in-house graphic designer. In addition to identifying fonts, she also loves to read and is an avid puzzler.
Jack Thompson
Lead Production
Jack does it all! He prints, he answers phones, he hems banners. When he's out of the office, he's likely playing disc golf.
Krista Mitchell
Production Team Member
Krista is our part-time production wizard. She's also a mama to 3 wonderful kids and an absolute pro in the garden.
